Running events

The sport division is responsible for creating sporting events and providing guidance and assistance during sporting events. We organize our own events to promote health and physical activities through sports.

The Goal: Create more opportunities for the community of Aruba to be more active through sports. By creating our own activities and or collaborating with external organizations to create and develop sporting events, making these organizations self-supporting and continue organizing the event in the long term.

Example:
“Aruba Bank 4 daagse”: 4 days running and walking event originally organized by IBiSA. Now Aruba Bank is responsible for the organization while IBiSA provides planning and logistics before, during, and after the event.

Also called ‘Turibana loop’ in Dutch, currently known as the Turibana 10.5k run and walk. The extended distance is due to road modifications made on the course by the Infrasturture Department.
